cant change default ringtone after B5671

so i have been using B571 for about 2 weeks and apart from my contacts vanishing (thank you mutahharbashir for the help) everything has been pretty good as it can be with emui. today, i tried to change the default ringtone but i cant seem to do it. the only thing im able to do is change the ringtone individually from the contact editor.

so, is this a bug or is it just me? i have a few things frozen with icebox but even if i unfreeze them i cant change the ringtone. any help?
