Black screen freezes

My Xperia z3 sometimes freezes and the screen just stays black for a while,also get screen glitches and coloured static on the screen,has anyone else experienced this and what process did they take to fix it if any,I know my device is still under warranty so wondering if it's worth trying to repair via pc companion or sending off to Sony themselves for s repair or replacement, what would anyone suggest, thanks
